Q: What are the advantages of Microfibre ?
A: Microfibre cloths give quicker results and cleans easier and more effectively than conventional cloths.
The microfibre cloths leave the surface clean and smear free.
There is no need to use chemicals, as they clean with just water.
The capillary action of the microscopic pores in Microfibre absorbs tremendous amounts of water with lightening speed.
They are environmentally friendly.
Microfibre is very durable. It outlasts most mops and cloths made from natural fibres.
These cloths can be laundered up to 400 times at 90°C.
When laundering the cloths only a standard detergent is required.
No bleach or fabric softener should be used.
Microfibre can remove up to 98% of bacteria from surfaces.

Q: What is Microfibre ?
A: Fibre becomes microfibre when it weighs less than 1 gram per 10km of length.
For most microfibres, this equates to a diameter of less than 0.12 denier.
The thickness of microfibre is finer than 1/100 of human hair.
Microfibre is made of 70% polyester and 30% polyamide bi-component fibre. It is split into 16 or 17 micro-segments by special physical & chemical treatments.

Q: How does Microfibre work ?
A: Microfibre has more than 40 times of surfaces area compared to normal figure. The split-fibres have so many pin-holes it makes the fibre extremely absorbent.
The capillary action and surface expanding allows for strong cleaning ability.
The wedge shaped fibre, together with core-polyamide, fits the surface tightly. This helps to attract and trap dust and dirt. It also is excellent for cleaning greasy surfaces without scratching them.
Microfibres fine pores leave very little moisture behind. Any droplets remaining on the cleaning surface will evaporate quickly and leave a clean, smear-free surface.

Q: I use Platinum Professional Orange power, I find it extremely good for a wide range of cleaning tasks. What makes it so good ?
A: Platinum Professional's Orange Power is made from d-Limonene which is the major part of the oil extracted from citrus rind. When citrus fruits are juiced, the oil is pressed out of the rind. This oil is separated from the juice, and distilled to recover flavour and fragrance compounds. The bulk of the oil is left behind and collected. This is food grade d-Limonene. In the past decade the use of d-Limonene has expanded greatly. The largest growth has been the use of d-Limonene in cleaning products. This has taken place in both industrial and household products. d-Limonene can be used either as a straight solvent, or as a water dilutable product. As a straight solvent d-Limonene can replace a wide variety of products, including mineral spirits, methyl ethyl ketone, acetone, toluene, glycol ethers and fluorinated and chlorinated organic solvents. As with most organic solvents, d-Limonene is not water soluble, so it can be used in the typical water separation units. With a KB value of 67, d-Limonene has solubility properties close to that of CFC's, indicating that it is a much better solvent than a typical mineral spirit. By blending d-Limonene with a surfactant, a water diluting and rinsible solution can be made. In most cases these products are used in place of caustic and other water based cleaners. A concentrated solution of a d-Limonene/surfactant solution can be made to be diluted before use, or pre-diluted solutions can be formed. The use concentrations of d-Limonene in these situations are usually 6-17%. In general these solutions are used as spray and wipe cleaners.
d-Limonene can be used in a wide variety of applications. It is extremely safe and more effective than typical cleaning solutions.

Q: What are Phosphates and why are they so harmful to the environment ?
A: Phosphates are inorganic chemicals that can cause the concentration of chemical nutrients in an ecosystem to an extent that increases the primary productivity of the ecosystem of rivers and other bodies of water, which can deplete them of oxygen and decrease water quality.

Q: What does (COSHH) stand for ?
A: Control of Substances Hazardous to Health

Q: What is "MSDS" ?
A: A material safety data sheet (MSDS) is a form containing data regarding the properties of a particular substance. An important component of product stewardship and workplace safety, it is intended to provide workers and emergency personnel with procedures for handling or working with that substance in a safe manner, and includes information such as physical data (melting point, boiling point, flash point, etc.), toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment, and spill-handling procedures. MSDS formats can vary from source to source within a country depending on national requirements.

Q: I have noticed en1276 and en1650 on some of your products what does this mean ?
A: These are independent laboratory tests, en1276 Chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics used in food, industrial, domestic, and institutional areas.Test method and requirements (phase 2, step 1)
en1650 Chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of fungicidal or yeasticidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics used in food, industrial, domestic and institutional areas. Test method and requirements (phase 2, step 1)
